Timeline

3:00pm End of day Pit-kids meet in Coach Felix’s room. Pizza will be provided by the Booster for the kids to eat while they get ready for the parade.

3:45pm-4:00pm Kids take their belongings to their cars and then report to the back of the school.

4:00pm Boats/Floats arrive - floats line up in the order they come in to VHS so we do not have an exact location; line up is in the drive behind the teacher parking lot

4:00pm Volunteers arrive to help decorate , direct kids, check candy- head to the drive where the floats are lined up

6:00pm Parade starts and will END at Monroe Stadium. Once at the stadium, students will exit the boats and enter the stadium for the Pep Rally. This is also where parent volunteers will QUICKLY remove all boat decorations and clean boats.

9:00pm Estimated end time of the pep rally.

Important Costume/Theme Information

Hawaaiin/Beach/Jaws is our theme. Overall parade theme is “Disco Nights” but each float can have their own theme.

The kids are responsible for their own costumes – think Hawaaiian shirts, beach attire. We will ask that all kids have a shirt-no bikinis for the girls and boys need a shirt. Booster will provide sunglasses and leis.
